Building Futures Through Reading: Texas Living Company’s Support for the Nativity Academy
At Texas Living Company, giving back to the Houston community isn’t just one part of our mission—it’s who we are. And one of the organizations closest to our hearts is the Nativity Academy, a local organization dedicated to nurturing the minds and hearts of young children. When our broker and owner, Ronda Ross, isn’t helping families buy, sell, or build their dream homes, you can often find her at the school as a volunteer librarian reading to kids. Aiming to visit the academy at least twice a month during the school year, she hopes to share stories that spark imagination, build confidence, and encourage a lifelong love of learning in the next generation.
Ronda feels that books helped her find balance during stressful times at work, so she wants to pass that outlet on. “I am lucky and honored to be able to read to these kids,” she shares. “It’s important to me that all children have access to education so they have a chance to be successful in life. Books should inspire them, motivate them, and educate them.” Through every page turned, her hope is that each child learns to see their own potential and believe in what’s possible.
Supporting education is a cornerstone of our company’s community mission, and it's an honor for Texas Living Company to serve as an ambassador for this. By purchasing tables at the Nativity Academy's various fundraisings events, we are able to invite others who share our passion for childhood education to join us in this mission. In fact, several of the real estate agents on our team have joined Ronda in volunteering their time as well!
